Having Rachel a part of the team, and realizing the kind of person she is, took some of my anxiety away, and that anxiety turned into trust in her.
Rachel seems to be fairly new, but she will be excellent at this career! She asked the head RN a lot of questions and didn't act without confidence, and when she did act she was very proficient at what she was doing. She is also beyond caring. On her lunch break, she went out of her way to pick up flowers for my fiance, put them in a specimen cup, added water, and brought them to our room. That gesture really made my soul feel good, and it was such an extraordinary sentiment. It showed me she cared about us, even when she wasn't getting paid to care for us. Rachel was also very comforting.

This is my 2nd child delivered here at St. Vincent Women's Hospital, and this visit OVER exceeded our first stay tenfold. Rachel played an intricate role in making sure my fiance and I had the best and most comfortable experience possible. I almost lost my daughter and fiance during our last pregnancy, so silently, my anxiety was extremely high going into this process. Having Rachel a part of the team, and realizing the kind of person she is, took some of my anxiety away, and that anxiety turned into trust in her. 100 out of 10, and this wasn't a typo. I truly would rate Rachel Pickering a 100 out of TEN.
