Rachel was one of the best nurses. We were blessed to receive her skills.

Throughout our stay, Rachel exhibited wonderful nursing skills. Her beautiful smile made frustrations at being in a difficult health situation much easier to bear. Her cheerful demeanor always lit up our room, but the incident I was most impacted by was this: Mike had been having frequent and sometimes lengthy times of AMS (Altered mental status). Sometimes the incidents were slightly humorous. But there was one very lengthy and intense AMS incident that came on while Rachel was going about her nursing duties.

Mike became very frustrated and upset that he was so confused. Rachel "transformed" right there before my eyes. Her voice immediately changed. It became very soft, tender, and gentle. Her answers to his questions were soothing. She spoke reassuringly with such compassion and thoughtfulness.

Though all our contact with Rachel had always been REALLY good, this incident was totally awesome. Her voice, her words, her mindfulness, and even her body language changed with the comprehension of his dilemma. This 'change' in Rachel's response was beautiful to behold. And the soothing demeanor she exuded had a calming influence on Mike. Though he was still confused, the agitation and frustration vanished. What skills and sensitivity on Rachel's part. Rachel is awesome
