I was very nervous and in a lot of pain upon arriving to my room. Rachel came in with a calming spirit. She was very kind when she was explaining that she would be my nurse. Rachel assured me she was here to help. When I had extensive questions, Rachel took the initiative to reach out to doctors to answer my specific questions and address my concerns. Rachel demonstrated professionalism. She took good care of me by bringing my meds timely and meeting my requests for hygiene needs, and her nursing skills were impeccable. Drawing blood was painless with Rachel because she took her time. Rachel made my experience positive during a trying time. She has a great bedside manner. You don’t feel like a number. I observed Rachel with others – she’s a team player, polite, and a leader. I can tell she loves what she does. Rachel showed compassion and took the time to listen to my concerns. She’s an asset to this hospital and deserves an award!
