Rachel Solomon's performance, extensive knowledge, and methodical thoroughness have never been short of outstanding making her exceptionally advanced in her career. She is the type of worker that continues to work and persevere past resistance. Rachel has the inherent skills of being able to quickly assess the severity of the situation, identify what needs to be done, implement the necessary interventions, and stabilize the situation. She is altruistic, selfless, and shows concern for both her coworkers and her patients. She goes above and beyond for her patients without ever hesitating.
Rachel is a team player. She's a definition of self-sacrifice taking a new patient if it means supporting her coworkers when they're struggling and expects nothing in return. If I don't know something, I know I can ask Rachel and she'll know it. Rachel doesn't double-check, she minimally triple-checks. Rachel is a shining star in our emergency department. Her patients are lucky to have her as their nurse. If my loved one was in the hospital, I would absolutely want Rachel Solomon to be their nurse and could rest easier knowing she was taking care of them.
Her kindness, compassion, attention to detail, and pure skill make her outstanding. For all these reasons and more, I nominate Rachel Solomon for the DAISY Award.
