This Nurse Manager consistently goes above and beyond. She demonstrates dedication and commitment to Atrium. Most recently she was recognized by the Resource Team for assisting a contract nurse with getting settled. The nurse is new to N.C. and did not realize the area did not have efficient public transportation. He contacted this NM explaining that he had attempted to get transportation and was unable to secure anyone. She found out where the teammate was staying, picked him up, and returned him to the hotel at the end of her shift. This occurred for two shifts as the nurse attempted to secure transportation. The NM reached out to a transport service (Taxi Service) from the neighboring town, that said because of her, they would be willing to assist. Rachel did not pass any judgment on this individual but researched the area and found a service to support and ensure safe travels for this person. It is humbling as we have no idea what anyone is struggling with or going through at any level.
