Rachel Wahla and I recently worked together in the yellow area in the ED. It was a busy day with holds. Multiple patients were frustrated as the wait time was longer than expected. Rachel went out of her way to comfort the patients, explain the circumstances and attend to their needs. Rachel was also exceptional at facilitating the labs, imaging, and transferring of patients. She made an otherwise tough shift much more manageable. The nurses in our ED work hard and it is important to recognize someone with a great work ethic and compassionate soul.
