Rachel is an excellent critical care nurse who has brought years of experience and extensive education to her current nursing practice. In addition to providing the highest quality of patient care, Rachel takes a very active role in advocating for her patients and collaborating with other caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients. She connects on an emotional level with her patients and their families, often helping them navigate a very difficult time in their lives. Rachel also is a leader in the ICU, often filling the charge nurse role and orienting nurses new to the ICU. She truly invests in helping nurses become great critical care nurses and supporting her co-workers both emotionally and as a team. The inspiration Rachel provides can be felt throughout our unit, and her influence has made the ICU the outstanding critical care unit it is today.
