Rachelle King took time to demonstrate caring to a discharged patient. While her baby stayed in the hospital for therapy, Rachelle provided reassurance to the mom, as well as encouragement. Additionally, she saw the opportunity to provide further education in anticipation of a potential disruption to the not yet well-established nursing dyad. Rachelle showed that our care extends beyond the time spent as a patient in the hospital.
