May 2024 Honoree
Rachelle Travis, RN
Rachelle is kind, empathetic, caring, and very understanding with my disabled child. She went out of her way to make sure she was comfortable and felt like she had a say in her treatment. She made coming into the emergency a lot easier and way less of an anxiety. Not many people are as patient, kind, and understanding as her. She is a top tier human being and nurse. I wish all nurses were as great as her. My daughter has adhd, severe anxiety, agoraphobia, a severe phobia of needles, and general distrust of medical personnel and she went out of her way to make sure she was calm and comfortable during the entire visit, (she has been this way during each visit while she was the nurse) and was very attentive and understanding, where most nurses get irritated and mad because she can't handle even the mention of needles because having a full melt down. She has helped my daughter work through some of her fears and anxiety with the way she talks to and handles her.
Thank you, Rachelle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
