We recognize the exceptional care that Radeana, Our Breast Health Nurse, exhibited today for a patient who was scheduled for a procedure. When Radeana obtained the patient's vitals, her HR was in the 30's with an elevated BP, however no history of heart disease. Radeana discussed this with the performing surgeon. She contacted Dr. L for him and the patient was then sent to his office for evaluation. About 1 ½ hours later Dr. B called her back to let her know that the patient was having an emergency pacemaker put it today related to second-degree heart block. Radeana went and saw the family in surgery waiting area. The family was very thankful for all the events that transpired and Radeana for being so helpful.
