Our Mom recently spent 18 days at Yakima Memorial fighting a difficult infection on top of a complicated medical history. I live in Billings, MT, and was able to spend significant time at Memorial as my mom received care. In the midst of a long hospitalization, I was able to witness the very best in care, compassion, and coming above and beyond in Raegan. She was honest, sincere, and provided comfort and assurance to my dad, family, and mom every day, even when we were unable to be present. Raegan would call my cell phone at the start and end of her shift to provide updates on Mom. She "adopted" my dad and took the time to ensure he was in the loop every step of the way. In turn, my dad "adopted" Raegan into our family. Being 150 miles away, I was deeply comforted knowing Raegan was watching over Mom with her positive attitude, kind words, gentle touch, and professionalism. Raegan stopped by Good Sam yesterday to visit my mom and check her progress, which lifted the spirits of everyone. She truly "gets it" and models extraordinary nursing in her words, actions, and care. I believe you have an angel working at Yakima Memorial, and her name is Raegan Burlingame.
