I would like to nominate Reagan for a DAISY Award for the incredible care she provided to our son, K, and our family during his hospital stay. As parents, there is nothing more difficult than watching your child go through surgery, experience pain, and struggle through recovery. Our son had been dealing with breathing and feeding issues since he was just 3 days old, and after months of uncertainty, fear, questions, and countless prayers, we finally found ourselves in the hospital seeking answers and treatment. It was one of the most emotional and overwhelming experiences we have ever faced.

From the moment Reagan walked into our room, she made a difference. Reagan cared for K with such kindness, compassion, and patience that she immediately put us at ease. She never made us feel like a burden, no matter how many questions we asked or how many times we needed reassurance. She took the time to explain things, listen to our concerns, and help us understand what was happening every step of the way.

What stood out most was the genuine love and care she showed not only to K, but to us as his parents. During moments when we were exhausted, scared, and emotionally drained, Reagan was a steady source of comfort. She celebrated K's victories with us, encouraged us during setbacks, and treated our son as if he were her own. There were times during his recovery when K was in significant pain and struggling more than expected. As parents, it was heartbreaking to watch. Reagan never brushed off our concerns. She listened, advocated, responded quickly, and made sure K received the care and attention he needed. Her compassion went far beyond completing tasks or administering medications. She cared for him as a person, and she cared for us as a family. Nursing is often described as both a science and an art, and Reagan embodies both. Her clinical knowledge and professionalism were exceptional, but it was her heart that truly set her apart. We will never forget her!
