Rainier is a special nurse. You don't find people like him often. He took time to not just do his job, but he went above and beyond. He would provide me with service without me even ringing my call bell! He was so kind and gentle and absolutely wonderful. He would even set a timer on his watch to come in prior to my IV pump alert so that the beeping would not wake me. He would come in quietly so as not to startle me awake. He made sure my bed was clean, my pain levels were good, and he would rub my hands and legs to help circulation. He even wiped down high touch surfaces. He spent time talking to me about family. I miss my family, and it helped to know someone understood how I felt. He corrected my IV and set it up a specific way that made it easier to change my shirts. There honestly needs to be one of him on each floor of this hospital! Rainier: Thank you so much for your hospitality and compassion.
