Rajdeep transferred to us from a sister facility because it was closer to home. In doing so she has proven to be a great addition to our team. She is always available to help out and is the one nurse who consistently receives positive comments from her patients.
Her flexibility and dedication to serving our patients were evident in March at the height of the COVID pandemic. During this time when our medical center was overwhelmed with the rising number of COVID-19 and PUI patients, anxiety was very high by all, especially when we designated one unit as a COVID unit. No one wanted to go there and the ones assigned there did not want to be there out of fear. However, Rajdeep's flexibility never waned, despite being afraid, she volunteered to float to the COVID unit to deal with the challenges associated with staffing, so that the safety of our patients would not be compromised.
Rajdeep is the type of professional who doesn't wait to be asked but steps forward to make an impact whenever she sees fit. One time she overheard a conversation of staffing shortage on the night shift. Although Rajdeep is a day shift nurse, she offered to come to nights to supplement staffing. This was a huge relief to her colleagues.
Her charge nurses for both shifts welcome her sunny and professional attitude. Her patients whether they are in or out of isolation express their thanks for the care and compassion shown to them.
