Rajinder was a very sweet compassionate nurse while I was on the unit. She was very tactful about explaining certain limitations patients have or responsibilities others have. During my stay, I witnessed the following two instances, among many others. There was a particularly challenging patient, who constantly made requests for ginger ale, medication, phone calls, asking to have the MD paged multiple times, etc. Rajinder maintained a pleasant, compassionate composure and continued help to this patient throughout her stay. Calmly, repeatedly, explaining her regimen and why it was that way. The patient frequently requested Rajinder to sit and talk to her and she did, every time. In my opinion, she went above and beyond for days to create a manageable stay for this patient. The second patient was an isolated elderly man, who was weak and in a wheelchair. Rajinder gently coaxed the man into the walker, helping along the way!
