Over the past few weeks I had the opportunity to observe the care Ralph provided for an extraordinary patient with multiple social, behavioral stressors. Despite challenging barriers Ralph formed an authentic, therapeutic relationship that encouraged the patient to make progress. Using humor and empathy, his kindness and non-judgmental communication not only kept this patient safe, but also acknowledged the patient as a human being. He truly demonstrated care above expectation.
