Raluca was called in in the middle of the day to accept a team from one of our own who got ill. She came with a positive attitude and the confidence we needed on a day that was speeding away from us. She later received a patient from the ED and within minutes of receiving said patient, Raluca noted that she was not steady and seemed dazed. The patient had an order for an MRI and she accompanied the patient while activating a stroke alert. The patient was indeed positive for a cerebral insult and was later transferred to the ICU. She saved that patient from progressing to conditions that might have been irreversible.
