Ramah was nominated for the DAISY Award by her supervisor, Debbie King, who writes:
Ramah is a strong patient advocate and tireless worker. She creates an environment where respect flows both ways and customer service is a natural occurrence.
Ramah is always proactive in developing new initiatives which result in positive patient outcomes. Ramah recently developed a communication book which is utilized for “hand off” communication within our department.
Ramah is quick to volunteer to participate in employee and community health fairs. She recently completed the Quit Smart Smoking Cessation certification and is available to assist fellow employees in their smoking cessation efforts.
Ramah is a nurse mentor and is an active member of the Clinical Practice Shared Governance Council.
Ramah has been employed by PMC for less than a year but has achieved more than most nurses during their careers. She has also accepted an invitation to mentor a new graduate nurse. Ramah is such an inspiration to the nursing profession and I am proud to call her a fellow worker and friend.
