Rana Elshahat

I am the grandmother of a child who is six years and three months old. During our first admission to the floor, a chemotherapy extravasation (leak) occurred. I was in a total state of panic, weeping bitterly—not just because he is my grandson, but because he is a precious trust placed in my care by his mother.

Rana was the first to calm me down and provide psychological reassurance. She did not leave my side until the situation was safely resolved. May God reward her with all goodness; her words and her gentle handling of the child were a true source of security for me.

Regarding Rana, our child was in a very poor psychological state, and I was struggling as well. Wanting to help us, Rana went down to the fourth floor specifically to get a toy for him. She put in a great effort to lift his spirits, and he absolutely loved the toy. It truly made a difference and changed his mood for the better.
