This nurse was pooled to 4 west and she had a positive attitude from the time I gave her report to when she gave me report Thursday morning. She stayed over her shift to start a second IV and draw a type and screen on a patient who was going to ICU after shift change. I asked her if she minded helping me move the patient to ICU before she left and she didn't hesitate to help me. We moved the patient and gave report together to the ICU nurse. Even though she had to come back Thursday night to work, she went "above and beyond" to ensure that the patient got the care and lab that he needed and her co-worker was not starting their shift behind. Awesome Teamwork!
