Ranita always shows up to work with a smile on her face. She always brings a positive attitude with her wherever she goes. I have watched her countless times be swamped with work, overwhelmed and exhausted, and she still manages to keep a smile on her face when everything is literally falling apart. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to staff and is a team player. I have watched her de-escalate situations with staff and take the blame herself instead of going tit for tat, even though she knows she is right. She is a very sweet person and works hard to make everyone feel comfortable with their assignment and part of the team. Ranita is a very hard worker and I don't want her to think her hard work goes unnoticed. She is right there in the midst of chaos with us on day shift, always encouraging us that we can get through it and reminding us that she is right there with us. To me, that is a perfect example of someone who exhibits leadership and resilience. She is an example of just smiling and rolling with the punches. These examples are why I nominate Ranita Pryor for the DAISY Award.
