Raquel Jensen, ADN, LPN

Raquel has a heart of gold. She comes to work with the brightest smile and positive attitude every day and maintains this throughout the day. No matter the task, the favor or the help she is asked for, she always does it with a happy attitude. Raquel is so compassionate towards the patients she encounters and makes them feel safe. She spoke with a suicidal patient last week and made them feel loved, heard, and safe. She told the patient, "You are needed here on earth". The patient was so grateful to have met Raquel and even came back later that day to thank her for helping her in this rough situation. The patient is now doing well and receiving the treatment they need to handle depression and anxiety. Raquel is a shining example of what a pure soul is. 

Raquel is a team player and always finds a way to cheer her co-workers on daily. She offers support to everyone and is never one to back down and say no. She rises to the standards we all strive to achieve in our careers. As a caregiver to her own parents, Raquel understands what it means to be on the patient side of care as a family member seeking help. This allows her to share her knowledge and experience with others dealing with similar situations.
