Thank you to the entire MICU staff for the care and compassion you showed my Uncle during his final days with us. There are no words that can fully express what it meant to our family to know he was surrounded by such dedicated and kind people in his most vulnerable moments.

Most importantly, thank you to Raquel Lendore. The care you gave my Uncle went far beyond what we could have ever expected, but what truly stayed with us was the way you cared for all of us. In the middle of one of the hardest times in our lives, you brought comfort, warmth, and a sense of peace that we didn’t think was possible. You treated us with such empathy and kindness that it will never be forgotten.

I truly believe we will be talking about you for the rest of our lives, about the incredible Nurse you are and the even more incredible person behind it. This was an unimaginably difficult time for our family, especially for his wife and his boys.

Watching someone you love go through their final days is something that changes you forever. But somehow, through your presence and the way you showed up for us every single day, you made it just a little bit easier to bear. You gave us comfort when we needed it most, and that is a gift we will always carry with us.

I recently graduated from nursing school, and I can honestly say that meeting you has changed the way I see this profession. You are everything I hope to become as a nurse. The way you care for your patients, not just with skill, but with heart, humanity, and deep compassion, is truly inspiring. You reminded me why I chose this path, and I will carry your example with me throughout my entire career. Thank you for being a light during such a dark time.
