J.G. was a patient on ICSU for longer than 2 months. During her time on our unit, she would always request for Raquel to be her nurse. She was able to make a connection with the patient during her long hospital stay. Raquel always provided world-class care, but she also goes above and beyond. On several occasions, she would bring nail polish and paint the patient's nails because the patient was sad that she has not had a manicure in a long time because of her hospitalization. This act of kindness lifted the patient’s spirits! Raquel is an excellent nurse; her patients love her and her colleagues love working with her!
