I would like to thank this nurse and share my story of why this nurse is so special: I have worked alongside Raquel for almost a year in Women's Health. I can say she is, without a doubt, a DAISY Nurse. Raquel is compassionate, diligent to duty, hardworking, and one of the most dedicated nurses I’ve ever worked with. She always presents with a kind and approachable demeanor to both staff and patients. She is selfless and places the needs of others above her own. She is always willing to accept additional duties to help with clinic flow.

In addition, Raquel has formed positive relationships with patients and when they come to the clinic, they specifically ask about her, and some request to see her. She is knowledgeable, dependable, flexible, and reliable. Both staff and providers rely on her skill and expertise in assisting with patient care and everyday operations of the Women's Health Clinic. Raquel is an exceptional leader and displays a transformational leadership style. As charge nurse, she is inclusive, approachable, and builds the team through encouragement, can-do-attitude, and a lead by example approach.

Raquel is an asset to NNMC and embodies the values of adaptability, collaboration, commitment, customer services, mentoring, patient-centered care, and transparency. In addition, she not only serves as nurse at NNMC, she also contributes to the mission of NNMC by being an exemplary role model and providing quality health care.
