Five years ago, my husband lost his battle with COVID. The care team was exceptional, but the heart of Raquel is what kept me going for 5 days. Never wavering in her belief that we would see a miracle, yet being open and honest with me on difficult days. He didn’t win his battle, but the care of Raquel assured me that she had fought right alongside him. We stay in touch, and she frequently sends me positive affirmations. While I dread his passing day, I see or hear from her every year.
