raquel rausa, RN, BSN, CCRN
Twenty-three years ago, twenty-one nurses arrived at Maimonides Medical Center from the Philippines. Raquel was among them looking for opportunity and adventure. With her BSN and five years of surgical experience, she was eager to begin a new chapter in her life in the Open Heart unit.
After ten years in Open Heart, Raquel transferred to Medical ICU. Raquel is a valued member of the Wound Care Team and has authored two guides: PCA Pump and Swan Gauze Catheter. Raquel has received her certification in Critical Care and is also a Senior Staff II RN. Raquel derives great satisfaction from being at the bedside. Her smile lights up her patient's room.
