At 1:00 am, during a busy on-call shift, a nurse contacted me to inform me about a young patient experiencing severe abdominal pain and distention, which turned out to be due to intestinal obstruction. The patient, a 6-year-old boy, urgently required insertion of a nasogastric tube (NGT), but he was crying and adamantly refusing any intervention. Nurse Rasha was present to assist in this challenging situation. She patiently convinced both the child and his parents to proceed with the NGT insertion, sitting with him and approaching him with genuine care. Given the boy's past traumatic experience with NGT insertion, Nurse Rasha's skill and unwavering support were crucial in ensuring a smooth procedure. During the procedure, the boy remained composed and demonstrated trust in Nurse Rasha. Nurse Rasha consistently provides unwavering support to her patients, demonstrating her ultimate care without fail. Her exceptional skills consistently exceed expectations, contributing to successful shifts even during the most hectic and busy evenings.
