Rasmita Basnet, RN

My brother was admitted to the ER 1 month after having open heart surgery. One of his nurses, Rasmita Basnet, was excellent. She was his nurse for five days during this admission. She was so caring, compassionate, and was quick to recognize and react to an urgent change in his condition one morning. She came into the room quickly when we called and notified his physicians immediately. She helped to make what for him was a very difficult and unpleasant situation much easier to handle. She is an example of an employee Ochsner should recognize and celebrate. I would like to thank her for the kindness she showed to my brother. Her level of compassion is something that can’t be taught. You either have it, or you don’t - and she does. In our eyes, she’s a superstar and deserves recognition!
