I had a horrible night following my spinal surgery. I didn't understand the use of the PCA and suffered a lot of pain. Raul came on duty in the morning and worked with me to manage my pain. He removed the PCA and started oral pain meds, he discussed pain management in a very easy to understand way. Within an hour or so he had me resting comfortably for the first time in over 12 hours. I really could not have tolerated the pain much longer. The compassion that he showed in my treatment was outstanding.
My care at your hospital overall was very good. I will never forget the difference that Raul made in my comfort level that morning.
