Raul took care of my mom when she was admitted for 1 month on the Covid Unit. Since my mom was alone in her room, he took time and effort to make my mom comfortable and happy. He fed her, assisted her in ambulation, combed her hair, provided health teachings, listened to my mom’s life story, and even scolded my mother when she was non-compliant. He also motivated my mom during that hard time when we, as a family, couldn't do it for her physically. He made sure that my mom was attended to well and he treated her like his own mother. Even after several months post-discharge, my mother is still thankful for his care and compassion. My mom remembers his name and his loud voice (noisy nurse) and him being plantito. My family will be forever grateful to Nurse Raul and the whole staff of 11SW Covid and SLMC because we survived, thanks to them.
