Raymond was a huge help to my 92-year-old mother and our family during her recent illness. He took the time to walk us through each element of her care without exception. He displayed patience, taking the time to explain things that we did not understand. He always exuded an air of calm, wherein his voice or actions and allowed us to interrupt with questions. He also listened to our long-winded stories without rushing out of the room.
When our mother had a stroke and was unable to talk, she would attempt to make her needs known. Raymond paid close attention to her movements and gestures, to determine what she was attempting to communicate as well as what she needed. He has also tried to help the rest of us through this difficult time and for this we are grateful.
I do not know what we would have done without him, he was our light in our storm. We were blessed that he was assigned to our mother's care.
