It is a sincere privilege to nominate Rayna Dickens for the DAISY Award. Rayna was by our side when I began having contractions, and she stayed after hours (well beyond her shift) to assist me through the delivery. We realized how fortunate we were when Rayna coached us with her "spinning baby" techniques, which she had researched and perfected. We were so impressed that we told her she ought to be teaching this technique to others, to which she modestly revealed that she, in fact, does teach classes on this! We were prime candidates for her expertise as the baby's position presented some challenges. Most nurses and doctors may have been inclined to give up and opt for an emergency C-Section. Rayna's determination allowed us to proceed with my preferred natural vaginal delivery.

Rayna’s passion for caring for others is what made all the difference. She clearly puts her heart into her profession, and this is evident by the exceptional level of care we received.
