Reagan took a difficult patient and embraced the challenge of his peritoneal dialysis. His dialysis was a struggle to get to work over the entire weekend. Reagan dealt with the patient's anxiety extremely well and gained his confidence. Then, when she realized he was not going to make it home for his birthday due to needing surgery for his foot wound, she bought him a birthday present. As a patient, the one thing he constantly asked for was warm blankets. She found him a very soft and warm blanket for his birthday! He was so touched and overwhelmed at her thoughtfulness! She truly made this patient feel SO special. It was so touching to see him get choked up as he shared his story with me. Way to go Reagan!! You truly displayed the Touch of Mercy!!
