Rebecca had finished her day shift and gave me report on a patient who has a history of a TBI and a history of violent behavior. This patient was refusing his medication to help him with agitation and mood. Without this medication, his night shift would be restless, and he would not be directable. Rebecca was able to provide seamless care which was caring, comforting, and exemplified teamwork.
This patient was diagnosed with Bilateral DVT's and scheduled for an IVC filter placement in the morning. Without Rebecca's help, this patient may not have had this procedure. He most likely would have been aggressive, agitated, and restless. She truly was a blessing and willingly stayed late to help her colleagues on the night shift. Bravo, Rebecca!
