My Experience With Nurse Becky –

I was admitted, and Becky came to get me from triage around eight in the evening to take me to the delivery room. From the very beginning, she was an amazing nurse. She prepared everything for my delivery, listened to my concerns, and explained every step of the process — from the medication for contractions and dilation to what to expect with the epidural.

When I reached about 6 cm and asked for the epidural, I had never seen a nurse move with such urgency and care. Because I was dilating so quickly, she did everything she could to get anesthesia to me as fast as possible. She also decided to catheterize me since my bladder was full, and she did it with so much compassion, knowing how much pain I was in.

When the epidural didn’t work, she immediately called again so they could give me another dose. I was shaking from the pain, and she brought warm blankets and even suggested I bite my tongue to help control the shaking — and it actually helped.

In one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, she went above and beyond to comfort me and reassure me that I was doing a great job. When she noticed I was struggling to push, she went out of her way to bring a mirror so I could see what was happening and watch my baby’s head. That made such a difference.

Her care was exceptional. She made my delivery beautiful, even through the pain. After my daughter was born, she even made a welcome sign for her — something I still keep dearly. It reminds me of how caring, compassionate, and dedicated she is to her work.

Becky truly made my birth experience unforgettable in the best way. We love Nurse Becky.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
