Becca was not my nurse, but the nurse of the man across from me. The man was slightly forgetful and having a hard time. When he first entered my room, Becca got him everything he needed/asked for. She was extremely attentive to his requirements. Once he was settled around 4 pm, he asked if he could have some milk and pudding for dessert later tonight. Hours passed and the man was sleeping as Becca checked in on him throughout his nap. Upon waking and getting his medicine, he was prepared to settle back down to sleep but before he could, Becca asked him if he would like his pudding and milk. The man lit up, having forgotten all about it, and graciously said yes. This interaction might not seem like much to most but I believe that this level of care, respect, and commitment is a standard every nurse should strive for. Good job Becca.
