Rebecca Benfield, RN

My husband of 56 years was told yesterday that he is in the end stage of heart failure and was offered Hospice Care at home. While this was a difficult decision, Rebecca was there for us during this difficult time. She hugged me and my husband and held his hand while listening to our travel stories. She cried with us and showed us the true compassion that every nurse should have. Over the past few days, she cared for us by joking with Gramps, bringing me my black coffee every morning, and making sure our needs were met. We joked about putting pictures on the wall since we had been here so long, and she even joked with us and printed photos of her own to post in his room. Jokingly, of course. She brought smiles in our time of need. Thank you, Rebecca, for your care. We will forever remember you!
