February 2025 Honoree
Rebecca Brower, RN
I recently spent a couple of days in med-surg, where I had lots of episodes (we assumed seizures). Due to my family’s work schedule and where they lived most of the time, I was alone. My nurse was amazing at checking in on me, helping me through an episode, and doing so in personal ways that made the stay feel less isolated. She played a crucial role in witnessing and relaying information to the doctor that helped a potential diagnosis (seeing a specialist too), which, from what I gather, is really hard to diagnose or even considered as a possibility.
Thank you, Rebecca, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
