There was a patient who was confused and had no family who came to see her. She was upset and asked about “the baby.” She kept asking for us to check on the baby. Becky was concerned for her, and the “towel baby” did not help. Becky went to the store after her shift and bought a baby doll for the patient. She wrapped the baby up in a small blanket, and we presented the baby to the patient. The patient talked to the baby and pointed out things in the room to it. She then looked at the baby and gave it a kiss on the forehead. Becky was able to help this patient feel less anxious and more comfortable. Thank you, Becky!
