Rebecca advocated for a successful experience by recruiting a child life specialist to prepare the anxious child for the procedure.

Rebecca is an exemplary nurse. She is very flexible, functions in all areas of the Aflac Clinic; cross covers both campuses including the inpatient units. Rebecca displays concerns, is well-rounded, has expert skills, and adapts to each area. Her week can be one that, each day she works, she is covering a different clinic, and never rejects or voices concerns of unfamiliarity. She is one to “dive in” and get the work done timely and efficiently!

Her skill level is top-notch! She is thorough in every area, thinks proactively, and practices that way too! She displays a willingness to learn and asks appropriate questions to have a full understanding. She is not reluctant to ask a question or reach out to seek an answer. She is delightful to work alongside, seeks out work that needs to be done, and ways to improve any situation that should arise, and loves to teach and share her knowledge base both with families and coworkers. She is a bright light, a joy to work with, a team player, and a nurse you want on your team! I have had the true pleasure of seeing kids' faces light up when they walk in the door and see she is working that day!

She sets a tone of environment that her coworkers feel is safe and provides a desire to return to work the next day. I understand she has recently stepped up to take accountability and be a consistent point person for the clinic sedation area. I have not worked alongside her on the inpatient unit, but her coworkers share with us regularly that she consistently translates her skills between outpatient and inpatient to the same level.

An example I learned about is how she went above and beyond to support an inpatient through her NG tube placement. She advocated for a successful experience by recruiting a child life specialist to prepare the anxious child for the procedure, furthermore, she advocated for the child to receive intranasal Versed to support a less traumatic procedure. I feel blessed each and every day I am able to work alongside her! I do know she loves to travel. I see the benefits of life experiences shine through her work as a nurse.
