A colleague recognized Rebecca after she and her family received care from her due to some health complications. Rebecca showed diligence and compassion for a new mother and her family.
The patient said that Rebecca was comforting and understanding of her and her husband's needs.
"She did what nurses do best: She cared. And that is why she is a DAISY Nurse." Without the comfort of Rebecca, her husband wouldn't have been able to stay as calm during a stressful situation.
"She was very sensitive to our situation and demonstrated tremendous empathy. Her calm demeanor was comforting to him. She explained what was going on and kept him informed about what was happening."
