I delivered my son at 22 weeks gestation in the ambulance 1 minute from the ED. He did not survive. Becky saw me holding my son and sobbing uncontrollably on the stretcher being wheeled from the ED to my OB room. She was waiting to catch the elevator to go home for the night. She assessed the situation and knew we needed her. Her compassion for our situation shined in everything she did. I could tell she had a true passion and calling for this specialized nursing care. She could have left and spent time with her family, but instead, she chose to stay with me and my family. I cannot express how meaningful that is to me. Her knowledge and expertise gave me reassurance when I needed it most.
