June 2022 Honoree
Rebecca E Martin, BSN, RN, CMSRN
This is a bit late because I'm still recovering from pneumonia. This is about my 8th episode of pneumonia since I was in my early 20s. My hospital 'stays' have included ICU for a week plus when pneumonia attacks. This time I 'felt' like I had it again and then Becca popped in my ER room after a long wait in the ER-Admitting. She was like an angel gliding in the room effortlessly. Immediately I was aware of her "empath" personality and relaxed a bit. Her nursing skills proved to be top-notch at once also. I feel I can judge top-notch because I'd been at another facility diagnosed with Norovirus the week prior. Becca continued to check on me for comfort needs and kept me well informed about drinking contrast. Please do all possible to keep her at Huntley Hospital. Becca is a leader. Thank you, Becca!
Thank you, Rebecca E, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
