Becky is a true patient advocate and one of the most sensitive caregivers I have ever met. Becky cared for an 18-year-old patient who was a student at a local university. The patient was new to the area and her family was located out of state. The patient's H&H was very low and she was admitted overnight for a procedure the next day.
Becky worked as a liaison between the patient's mother who was out of state, the patient, and the physician. Knowing the patient was without family here and very afraid, Becky purchased overnight supplies for the patient and came back to the hospital to spend the night with her. Becky stayed with her the next day through the procedure, reassuring both the patient and her mother. Becky took time to be with this patient on her day off. Becky is a true Ochsner nurse.
