March 2023 Honoree
Rebecca Fecht, BSN, RN
"I would like to honor the outstanding care that my brother and my family received from Rebecca during his stay in the emergency department. That was the second time he had been brought in within 24 hours due to seizure activity, caused by a lack of taking his prescribed medication and unfortunately, illicit drug use. At no time did we ever feel that he or we were being judged and we couldn't have asked for more efficient care for him. It seemed as if she always knew the right things to say for whatever mood swing my brother was in at the time. Things actually got a little rough for the staff prior to him being transferred to the floor, and I must commend Rebecca for her outstanding ability to calm down and remain with him until he was transferred upstairs. The level of compassion that was shown to my brother and our family by Rebecca, and her colleagues was very well received. They always say that it takes a special person to be a nurse or a person that is called to that profession. Rebecca definitely has chosen the right career path. You should consider yourself blessed to have her on your staff.
Thank you, Rebecca, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
