Becky Ferrell has been a nurse at AGMC in the OR for 35 years. She was instrumental in helping organize and train the neuro unit in the OR. She works as a team player to see that things get done and she is giving of her time and of herself to everyone. She never wants to take credit for her help to others. On her own time, I have seen Becky go to PSU to explain her role to patients and then always be there for them in the OR. She is a true patient advocate and it shows to those around her. Becky is calm, focused, communicative, and comforting. An example is with patients who are awake to have deep brain stimulation. She helps them to remain calm and relieves their fears.
