Mrs. Garza saw me in a timely manner and covered all my medical history very thoroughly. As I addressed my health concerns, she explained to me the plan of care for each concern that I had. I clearly noticed that she had empathy for me and she smiled throughout my appointment. She was very positive, kind, and even more important was her professionalism with attention to my care. Prior to attending this appointment, I had visited private health care systems and another VA HCS. For the last 18 months, I was deeply disappointed with my medical care, my health was deteriorating, I was beginning to worry about my future and my family. The chronic pain I was feeling daily impacts my lifestyle, and I expected her to nod her head and prescribe me pain relievers and walk me out the door. But she set up a plan of action with many forms of treatment and built my spirit again. Prior to leaving her office, she offered to see me sooner than my next appointment if I felt it was necessary. After leaving her office, I literally walked out in tears and I felt that my life had been touched by an Angel because I felt this huge level of joy. I told other veterans about her and the type of care she provided because I want other veterans to know that VCB is the best health care system in the nation because of individuals like her. I also want Mrs. Garza to know that she can impact someone's life beyond their expectations and knowing that other veterans are being well taken care of by her brings me joy. I hope Mrs. Garza continues to support the veterans with her loving attitude and her big heart.
