I would like to recognize Rebecca for her outstanding care, compassion, and understanding in caring for my dad. There were no beds in the hospital, and his care had to be managed over 24 hours in the ED. As not a normal bedside nurse, she was amazing! She made sure he had the appropriate attending, consulted physicians to see him, PT/OT, and made sure he ate. She came in and communicated with my dad and me on all levels of care and to follow up. There was not one time that I had to ask her for updates. This type of care in the days of a pandemic is unseen and rare. We realized the urgent care she had to provide to her other patients but still made my dad a priority. As a fellow RN, that was a comforting and trusty environment. Her commitment to her patients should not go unrecognized. Thank you!
