When my mother was admitted to the hospital our experience with her first nurse when she got to her room was beyond amazing. Then we had Rebecca Gottis, who was my mom's second daytime nurse, and Rebecca was just as amazing, if not even more amazing. Rebecca is truly gifted in every way a nurse can be. Rebecca's kindness and compassion radiated throughout every space Rebecca occupied. The unit was full during the time Rebecca attended to my mom. Without hesitation, Rebecca handled the tasks at hand as a veteran professional nurse would handle them. As Rebecca was managing her patients she possessed a positive energy with a genuine smile and assured everyone no request was too big or small. Rebecca somehow managed to find the time to offer reassurance and comfort to my mom in the midst of everything that was going on. Her genuine compassion and kind-heartedness was so appreciated and was so comforting to the family. Through observing Rebecca's interactions with medical staff, one could clearly see that Rebecca is just as professional and positive with her colleagues. Rebecca is a true team player in every sense of the way a nurse can be. Rebecca truly treated my mother and my concerned father like she had known them for years. Rebecca took the time to empathically explain things in a manner that all members of the family understood. By Rebecca offering her time and explanations, anxieties were eased, and we were able to trust my mother was in good hands.

This, sadly, was my mom's last hospital stay. We feel as though God sent a few great people to ensure my mom was comforted and well taken care of. Rebecca was for sure a God send. Anyone who happens to get Rebecca as their nurse is very fortunate. Rebecca's enthusiasm, dedication, and empathic compassion make her an Extraordinary Nurse. It is refreshing to see there are such remarkable nurses such as Rebecca. Rebecca is an extraordinary person and this totally is the contributing factor that makes her a phenomenal nurse.
